Carolyn Sue “Carole” Comer

WHEELERSBURG — Carolyn Sue “Carole” Comer, 57, of Wheelersburg passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. The Ironton native was born Jan. 14, 1954, the daughter of Donald R. and Wanda F. Davis Comer of Coal Grove.

Carole was a 1972 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and Ohio University Southern Campus.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Shanna and Stuart Kortus of Wheelersburg; two grandchildren: Halie Frazier and Mason Frazier;

a brother: Larry Comer of Ironton; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Howie Dickess of Ironton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery and visitation will be Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Stuart Kortus, Richy Belville, Howie Dickess, Larry Comer, J.D.
