Harold Russell
June 22, 1938–Jan. 1, 2020
Harold Eugene “Joe” Russell, 81, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia.
Mr. Russell was born June 22, 1938, in Vanceburg, Kentucky, a son to the late Edward and Edith (Allen) Russell. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Evans Russell, whom he married Nov. 5, 1976.
Joe attended Green High School and was a United States Army veteran, where he served as a sharpshooter. He retired after 50 plus years as an auto salesman. He was a member of the VFW Post # 8850, and was a former commander of the Honor Guard. He was also a member of Loyal Order of the Moose # 701 and American Legion Post 76 and attended Church of God in Franklin Furnace.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Alan Russell; and grandson, Josh Davis.
He is survived by two sons, Scott Joseph Russell, of Ironton, and Alton Davis, of Beaver; four grandchildren, Brianna Claire Russell, Logan Chase Russell, both of Worthington, Kentucky, Brandon Davis, of Beaver, and Tess Davis, of Jackson; a sister, Betty Jean Bailey of Franklin Furnace; and two brothers, Clifford “Pete” Russell of Ironton, and Edward Russell of Middletown.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton, with Brother Kevin West officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, with military graveside rites provided by VFW Post # 8850. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Thomas Knipp
Oct. 23, 1954–Dec. 31, 2019
Thomas “Tom” Knipp, 65, of Waterloo, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, at his residence.
Tom was born Oct. 23, 1954, in Ironton, a son to the late Fred C. and Mona (Sturgill) Knipp.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Green Knipp, whom he married Feb. 22, 2002.
Tom was a 1972 graduate of Rock Hill High School and retired from General Mills as a forklift operator.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, David and Donna Knipp; two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Garnett Lee and Brenda Hackworth; two sisters-in-law, Glenna Knipp and Elfrieda Knipp and ex-wife, Eva Ann Knipp.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by two sons, T.J. (Stephanie) Knipp and Billy (Brittany) Knipp; daughter, Missy (Jeremy Sanders) Knipp; step-daughter, Aimee (Jason Cordle) Newsom; ten grandchildren, Seth Fosson, Gage Cordle, Uriah Meadows, Daizy Meadows, Easton Cordle, Rylen Knipp, Chloe Knipp, Charley Cordle, Peyton Sanders and Jeremiah Sanders; siblings, Calvin (Arnetta) Knipp, Homer Knipp, Fred (Karen) Knipp, Peggy (Ed) Hill, Glenna (Wally) Rice, Alva (Carol) Knipp, Tim (Carolyn) Knipp, Phil (Jane) Knipp, Debra Barton, Sabra (Tracey) Steele, Jean Knipp, Jane (Bud) Whitt and Jimmy (Betty) Knipp; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh Street, Ironton, with Pastor Danny Pancake officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 5–7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Casey Lee Adkins, 31, of Proctorville, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Brandie M. Cook, 39, of Gallipolis, died Monday Dec. 30, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Williams.

Mary Elizabeth Stambaugh, 86, died Jan. 1, 2020, at Community Hospice of Ashland.
She was born March 9, 1933 to the late Ottis and Theresa Hass Patton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel E. Stambaugh; and son, Mark Stambaugh
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Ironton. She is survived by sons, Robert Patton Stambaugh, Joe (Theresa) Stambaugh, and Paul Stambaugh; daughter-in-law, Belinda Stambaugh; grandchildren, Trey, Tori, Kathy, Chris, Phillip, Josh, Kelly, Nicholas, and Samatha; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home Monday, 10–11:30 a.m. Funeral will be Monday at St. Joseph Church at noon, with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

David Gregory Williams, 57, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 at home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Transformation Community Church, 1201 Madison Ave., Huntington, West Virginia, by Rev. Deb Winters. The family will receive friends 10–11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

He is survived by his fiancée, Caitlin Depriest.
