Ernest Leo Brown, 85, of Ironton, died on Saturday Jan. 22, 2011. He was born Dec. 12. 1925, to the late Earnest and Josephine Barber Brown. He was the husband of Rosemary Thomas Brown. He was a retired millwright leader from Armco Steel. He was a WWII Naval veteran. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; and one son and daughter-in-law, John and Wanda Brown of Flatwoods, Ky.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Jim Lawson of Ironton and Katie and Chuck Walters of Piketon; four grandsons, Ben and Sam Wheeler, Nathan Brown, and Mark Walters; one great granddaughter, Cameron Wheeler; three sisters, Dorothy Hamilton of Columbus, Virginia and John Paul Clark of Ashland, Ky., and Barbara and Roger Cottrell of Franklin, Tenn. He was preceded in death by one brother, George Brown. Funeral will be Tuesday at 12 p.m. at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Young officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
