Luella Pinson
Dec. 10, 1922– Nov. 22, 2019
Luella Marie Pinson, 96, of Kitts Hill, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019. The Lawrence County native was born Dec. 10, 1922, the daughter of the late W.E. and Edith Dilley
Luella was a 1941 graduate of Kitts Hill High School. She retired from the Lawrence County Court House Auditor’s Office in 1979, after 27 years.
Luella was a member of Myrtle Ridge Missionary Baptist Church for over 80 years, where she was a Sunday School teacher, clerk, choir leader, treasurer of the cemetery care fund and Bible School teacher for over 45 years. She was an active member for 60 years in the Windsor Grange. She was also a member of Hecla Water Board for 13 years and a member of Hitchem and Pitchem Buckeyes Camper Club.
Luella loved to garden, travel, fish, read, cook, make quilts and embroidery.
In addition to her husband Clyde H. Pinson, who passed away Sept. 14, 2002; she was proceeded in death by a brother, Luther Dilley; and two sisters, Nina Fugitt and Wilma Thompson
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Virgil) Skaggs, Ruth Ann (Joe) Stewart and Ella (Comer) Morgan; grandsons, Keith (Casandra) Skaggs, George (Lori) Stewart, Kyle (Jessie) Skaggs, Matthew (Tonya) Morgan; nine great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Enola Cade; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be 11 am.–1 p.m., Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton. Funeral will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Burge officiating. Burial will follow in Myrtle Ridge Cemetery.

Kaylee Adkins
Kaylee Chyanne Adkins, 2, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019.
She is survived by her parents.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Donald Clark
Donald R. Clark, 72, of Proctorville, died Tuesday Nov. 19, 2019, at home.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christina Clark.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday by Pastor Shirley Ball at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, West Virginia. Visitation is be 2–4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Demia Jarrell
Demia Kathleen Jarrell, 87, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Huntington, West Virginia, died Wednesday Nov. 20, 2019, at Fouraker Hills Health Center and Rehab.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery, Willow Wood. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Danny Elswick
Danny Elswick, 60, of Ironton, died Nov. 21, 2019, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. His family has entrusted his care to the Taylor-Brown family of Brown Funeral Chapel.
Mary Gannon
Mary Frances Gannon, 78, of Franklin Furnace, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, at Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with grandson Pastor Nelson Klaiber officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday and noon Tuesday until time of the service at the funeral home.

Wayne Newman Jr.
Wayne Edgar Newman Jr., 56, of Pedro, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at his residence.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lawrence Furnace Cemetery in Pedro. There will be no public visitation.

June Mae Stiff, 60, of Kenova, West Virginia, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at home.
