Enough is enough for City of Ironton

It is time to return the power to the citizens of Ironton and restore our democracy.

The mayor of Ironton and the powers–that–be are grasping to hold on to their influence over us citizens through fear and dirty politics.

They see that we the people are tired of their negligence and disregard of our concerns. They are terrified of change, because they know that means we the citizens will determine what once was theirs to control.

Recently, I have been painted as an outsider who has no right to run for public office due to a residency issue within the city charter.

Not only is that false, but it is also them telling me that you can live here in the city with limited to no job opportunities and be kept from the democratic process, since you took the initiative to sustain your financial stability and travel for work.

They want us to believe that we have no other option than to keep them in power and submit to them every time they come, asking for more.

However, when we say enough is enough, they resort to their same fear tactics by telling us that we will lose our access to essential services, clean water and roads if we don’t submit.

I’m here to tell you – don’t give up hope, we can break the chains from these abusive powers.

We can take control of our economic future and we can restore the power to the people by telling them enough is enough on Election Day.
