PINE GROVE — It seems like the hostess always has the mostest.
Or, she’s at least among the mostest.
Hostess duties rotate among club members but there has been a streak lately of the hostess being among the winners and it didn’t change with Lana Moore last week during Tuesday’s weekly golf outing of the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association at the Ironton Country Club.
Hostess Lana Moore conducted the brief business meeting and served breakfast treats before announcing the day’s events.
At the conclusion of play, the women retreated to the clubhouse for lunch where Moore announced the day’s event winners.
Pat Lambert was the top winner as she claimed two events. Moore was the winning of the third event.
Lambert will serve as hostess next week and attempt to continue the streak.
New members are always welcomed and persons do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the Ladies Nine Hole League and play the nine-hole course in Pine Grove.
