The inaugural Ironton River Ride kicked off last night and organizers have events line up for two more days.

Family friendly activities are planned in the downtown area near the Ironton Farmers Market.

Music will come from Derailed tonight, who are are set to perform from 7-9 p.m.

On Saturday, the Cincinnati Circus will perform throughout the day, from noon-9 p.m. downtown, while, at The Ironton Hills shopping plaza, a car show will take place on the Buffalo Wild Wings lot from 1-3 p.m.

Also downtown on Saturday will be a hot dog eating contest at 6 p.m.

There will also be food, vendors and inflatables downtown, with those events being alcohol free.

In addition, downtown bars will be open for bikers each day, with events such as bike trials, music, a cornhole tournament and karaoke scheduled.
