FRANKLIN FURNACE — The Green Lady Bobcats had the “D,” but they were missing the “O” and that left them with an “L.”
Green struggled offensively as they lost 28-23 to the Sciotoville East Lady Tartans in a Southern Ohio Conference game Monday.
“We played really hard tonight. I was proud of the way we played,” said Green coach Bucky Bridges. “Our defensive effort was there, we just couldn’t throw it in the ocean.”
East led 6-4 at the end of the first quarter and 11-9 at the half. The Lady Tartans pulled away to a 20-13 lead after three quarters.
Jenna Crawford scored five of her six points in the fourth quarter as Green put together a rally only to fall short.
Green (1-11, 1-8) hosts New Boston Thursday.
