Del Rice plans signups
for summer baseball
The Del Rice summer baseball league will be having registrations from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 18, to Saturday, May 25, at Larry Moore Sporting Goods, 1538 Gallia Street, Portsmouth.
Ages are from 15 to unlimited. Registration fee is $65 per player.

Flyers’ basketball camp
scheduled May 29-31
The St. Joseph Flyers’ basketball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday through Friday, May 29-31, in the Parish Life Center on South Fifth Street.
The camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 3-through-7.
Interested youths should pick up an registration form at St. Lawrence Elementary or St. Joseph High School.
Early registration ensures proper T-shirt size. Please return forms by Friday, May 24, to the school or contract camp director is Chris Barnes (614) 404-5825.
However, walk-ins are welcomed. All campers must sign a waiver release form.
Camp fee is $35. Checks should be made payable to Flyers Club Sports and forms can be mailed to:

The camp will focus on fundamentals skills and stress a positive Christian message.
There will be 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 play along with fun competitions.
Lady Tigers basketball
youth camp June 24-27
The annual Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ youth basketball camp for grades 2-through-9 will be held June 24-27 at the Ironton High School Conley Center.
Camp fee is $20 and each camper receives a sports drink daily as well as a T-shirt at the end of the camp.
Checks should be made payable to: Ironton H.S. Athletic Dept. Persons can register the day of the camp or get a form on the city schools’ web page.
A camp photo will be taken on Wednesday. An awards ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. on the final day of the camp.
The camp focuses on fundamentals. Each person will be placed on a team for game competition and will participate at least 50 percent of the time in every game.

Panthers’ youth camp
for grades 2-6 May 29-31
The Chesapeake Panthers’ basketball camp for boys entering grades 2-6 will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesday-Friday, May 29-31, at the high school.
Panthers’ head coach Ryan Davis is camp director and will be assisted by current and former Chesapeake players.
Proper fundamentals will be taught. Campers will receive a T-shirt and drinks will be provided. Fee is $25.
Registration will be available at the door starting at 8:30 a.m. but early registration is preferred to ensure proper T-shirt size.

The annual Fairland Lady Dragons girls’ youth basketball camp will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, June 3-6, in the Fairland High School gym.
The camp is open to girls entering grades 1-through-7. Entry fee is $35 per camper and each person receives a camp T-shirt.
