CHILLICOTHE — As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a bridge replacement project on County Road 169 in Lawrence County.
The proposed project is to replace the existing single-span bridge on County Road 169 (Ellisonville-Smokey Row Road) at the 0.69-mile marker with a 20×5-foot precast concrete box culvert. The bridge is situated over Ellisonville Creek, immediately west of State Route 93 in Elizabeth Township.
The project will require approximately 0.24 acres of permanent right of way; however, no homes or business will be removed as a result of construction.
Currently, a contract is anticipated to be awarded in the summer of 2020 and a closure of the route during construction will be required.
Additional information, including a complete description, maps and plans sheets, is available online at www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D09/Pages/Public-Involvement-Process.aspx.
