Man gets 11 months for failing to report address

A Willow Wood man will serve 11 months in jail for failing to report a change of address.
Robert Armstrong, 37, of 644 Township Road 212 N, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court to failing to report an address change, a fifth degree felony.
Armstrong is a registered sex offender and is required to report his relocations to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Armstrong was also sentenced for failing to report to the adult probation department, a violation of his community-controlled sanctions.
Also in court Wednesday, a trial date was set in the case of a Proctorville man accused of rape and sexual battery.
Thomas Butler, 46, of 549 Township Road 1233, is charged with three counts of rape and three counts of sexual battery.
Judge Charles Cooper granted a request for a continuance by Butler’s attorney Mike Davenport and set the trial date for Sept. 21 and 22.
In other cases:
Thomas Steward, 58, of Reynoldsburg, pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen property and one count of obstructing official business. Steward was sentenced to one year in prison.
Alexa N. Keaton, 19, of 121 Township Road Proctorville, admitted to violating the terms of her community-controlled sanctions and was sentenced to successfully complete the STAR community justice program,
Brandon Mann, 36, of 301 Ben St. Chesapeake, admitted to violating the terms of his community-controlled sanctions by being removed from the STAR program. Mann was sentenced to three years in prison.
Donnie Jackson, 19, of 217 Township Road 1019 South Point, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the order or signal of a police officer. Jackson was sentenced to three years in prison.
Anthony Jones, 20, of 156 Township Road 1079 Chesapeake, admitted he violated the terms of his community-controlled sanctions and was sentenced to three months in prison.
