The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ went 3-for-5 and they were all singles.
However, this wasn’t baseball or softball. This was tennis and Ironton won all three singles matches in beating the Lucaville Valley Lady Indians on Tuesday.
Winners for Ironton were freshman and No. 1 singles player Kendall Dodgion, junior and No. 2 player Kately Caskey and sophomore No. 3 player Holly Dutey.
The No. 1 doubles team of Sophia Caines and Hannah Lynn — both seniors — and No. 2 team of senor Brooke Barnes and sophomore Jayci Johnson suffered losses.
Ironton visits Minford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
