Millard Harris

March 19, 1932 — Aug. 4, 2018

Millard E. Harris, 86, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center- Ironton Campus. The Boyd County, Kentucky native was born March 19, 1932, a son of the late John L. and Emma Spaulding Harris. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Reatha Jackson Harris, whom he married in Ironton on Jan. 23, 1953.
Mr. Harris attended school in Boyd County and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a former operator for Dow Chemical, retiring in 1994 after 10 years of service there.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Millard Harris Jr. and Darrell E. Harris; an infant daughter, Marlene E. Harris; and a brother, Franklin D. Harris.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Nancy Hankins, of Ironton; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday with Minister Willie Purdee officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Carrie Leffingwell

Jan. 6, 1928 — Aug. 2, 2018

Carie Blanche Leffingwell, 90, of South Webster, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at a local health care facility. The Jackson County native was born Jan. 6, 1928, a daughter of the late William Leonard and Mary Allen Leonard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Leffingwell.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Bob Bradley officiating.
