The Ironton Elks will have an evening of Appalachian Jam Rock featuring Fletcher’s Grove and Hellnaw on Saturday.
Elks member Steve Call said Fletcher’s Grove is known for their high-energy shows. The band mixes pulsating bass lines, dual-guitar solos, and an eclectic percussion section that makes standing still nearly impossible.
By maintaining a solid focus on musical intricacy and creating seamless improvisation, Fletcher’s Grove has captured the imaginations of thousands in the Mountain State and beyond.
Hellnaw is a two-man rhythm section with bass and drums, that sounds “like Les Claypool and John Bonham throwing a temper tantrum in unison. Josh Wicker and Wren Fenton combine technical chemistry, improvisation, gritty licks, and filthy grooves to create a powerhouse of sound,” Call said.
Admission is $7 per person. Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts around 8 p.m.
A cash bar and food from the UnderDawg BBQ Restaurant and food truck will be available.
There will also be a 50/50 split the pot raffle.
The Elks Lodge is located at 416 Park Ave., Ironton.
