PINE GROVE — Sharon Fox and Joyce Lewis must be fans of sequels.
Fox and Lewis weren’t happy with winning just one event so they added a second during the Ladies’ Nine Hole Golf Association weekly competition at the Ironton Country Club on Tuesday.
Also, racking up even wins were Wanda Spears and Dora Carmon.
Hostess Shirley Gleim served breakfast treats and announced the day’s golfing events.
On Tuesday, July 10, Dora Carmon served as the hostess set up the events and announced the winners at lunch.
In a “How low can you go” moment, Margaret Donley was the winner of low putts. Donley and Lana Moore each picked up an event win.
The group conducts a brief business meeting each Tuesday is at 9 a.m. and golfing follows at 9:30 or 10.
Next week’s hostess will be Margaret Donley.
The Ringer Tournament remains underway for members to post. The handicap tournament came to a conclusion.
Anyone interested in joining the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association is welcome and women do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the group.
