2018-19 concert series set

Tickets on sale for Ironton Council for the Arts event
Seven performances, which include instrumental and vocal music, dance and musical theater ensembles, will be on the upcoming Ironton Council for the Arts 2018-2019 subscription concert series.
Performers include local musicians to those who have garnered national and international acclaim.
The schedule is as follows:
• 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Ohio University Southern Bowman Auditorium: Shantell Ogden, Americana award-winning artist and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee.
• 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Ohio University Southern Bowman Auditorium: No Tools Loaded, blugrass band from Frankfort, Kentucky.
• 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Ironton High School Auditorium: Diana Dinicola and Flamenco Louisville, authentic Flamenco dances and music.
• 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Ironton High School Auditorium: The Greater Huntington Symphonic Band, annual Christmas concert.
• 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at the Ohio University Southern Riffe Rotunda: The Ashland Paramount Players present “Forever Plaid,” a one-act 1950s doo-wop themed performance.
• 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the First Presbyterian Church of Ironton: The Appalachian Celtic Consort, Celtic music with an Appalachian flavor.
• 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Ohio University Southern Bowman Auditorium: The Petar and Daniel Guitar Duo, internationally acclaimed Indiana University-Bloomington guitar faculty members Petar Jancovic and Daniel Duarte fuse their Brazilian and Serbian heritage with Latin folk music, classical, jazz and original compositions.
Season tickets for the subscription concert series are $40, and individual concert tickets are $10 at the door. Ohio University students are admitted free with a student ID.
