City back in emergency flood operations

The City of Ironton is readying for round two of spring flooding.
On Thursday afternoon, the city announced it was back in emergency operations.
Water levels had reached 45.4 feet and crews were preparing to open up the Lawrence Street emergency route to State Route 52.
City officials said they anticipated water would cover Lawrence Street by 6 p.m. Thursday evening.
Officials advised resident to not drive through floodwaters at any time.
