Patrons should bring photo ID or donor card

American Red Cross and the Ironton Fire Department will host a blood drive from 1-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1 in the Ironton Fire Department training room.

“This will be our second blood drive here,” Aaron Collins, IFD firefighter, said. “We had a lot of success with the first one, so American Red Cross wanted us to have another one here.”

Collins added that the blood drive is a program to help the American Red Cross as well as to improve relationships between the fire department and the community.

Those who wish to donate blood need to bring a photo ID or their donor card if they have one.

The Ironton Fire Department is located at 526 S. Fourth St.
