PROCTORVILLE — Party of five.
The Fairland Lady Dragons had five players in double figures as they cruised to a 95-42 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Rock Hill Redwomen on Thursday.
Emily Chapman scored 20 points to lead double figure scoring. Taylar Wilson scored 19 points, Allie Marshall got 16, Harley Lyons scored 14 and Alesha Simpson added 12.
Chapman also had 13 assists, five rebounds and three steals. Wilson had seven rebounds and three steals.
Maddie Scott scored 14 points and Makenzie Hanshaw had 11 for Rock Hill (3-9, 0-7).
Lucy Simpson made a basket at the3:23 mark of the first quarter and Rock Hill trailed 15-6. Fairland then went on a 10-2 run to close the quarter and a 25-8 lead.
Marshall hit back-to-back baskets and Emily Chapman scored to give Fairland a 40-12 lead with 4:56 left in the second quarter.
Maddie Scott made a foul shot for Rock Hill but Lyons drilled a 3-pointer and it was 54-23. Simpson’s basket made it 54-25 at the half.
Fairland continued to pull away by outscoring Rock Hill 26-9 in the third quarter and the lead was an insurmountable 80-32.
On Monday, Rock Hill entertains Portsmouth West and Fairland hosts Huntington High.
