Everett Jenkins
Oct. 8, 1933 — Nov. 30, 2017
Everett Donald Jenkins Sr., 84, of Kitts Hill, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at a local health care facility. The Lawrence County native was born Oct. 8, 1933, the son of the late James M. and Edith C. Hart Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Y. Crace Jenkins, whom he married August 31, 1956.
Mr. Jenkins was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and a U. S. Army veteran. He was a former mechanic for Ashland Oil, retiring in 1995, after 38 years of service and a member of the church of Christ at Cannonsburg, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Butler.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Everett Jr. (Brenda) Jenkins, of Kitts Hill, Edie (Mike) Fyffe, of Kitts Hill, Paul (Lisa) Jenkins, of Ironton, Carla (Greg) Potter, of Oak Hill, Joe (Joanie) Jenkins, of Beavercreek, Mellisa (Todd) Brammer, of Ironton, and Sherri (Buddy) Townsend, of Columbus; two sisters, Judith Daughtery, of Hawthorne, Florida, and Susan Drummond, of Marysville; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday in Highland Memorial Gardens with military rites provided by VFW Post 8850 and Bro. Mike Fyffe officiating. James Kellogg
Oct. 19, 1920 — Nov. 16, 2017
James William Kellogg, 97, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at Harbor Oaks Elderly Care in Port Orange. The Ironton native was born Oct, 19, 1920, a son of the late George and Elizabeth Norris Kellogg. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edith A. Likens Kellogg, who passed away Feb. 23, 2016.
Mr. Kellogg was a graduate of Ironton High School and a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl Kellogg, George Kellogg, Paul Kellogg and Arthur Kellogg; and a sister, Mary Kellogg.
He is survived by a son, James W. (Yvonna) Kellogg Jr., of Port Orange, Florida; three grandchildren, James S. Kellogg and Dustin Kellogg, both of Ironton, and Jody (Russell) Thompson, of Port Orange, Florida; three great-grandchildren, Kirstin Miller, of Port Orange, Florida, and Cassandra Kellogg and Korey Kellogg, both of Ironton.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, in Haverhill Cemetery with the Minister Willie Purdee officiating. Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, assisted the family with the arrangements. Jewel Webster
Jewel L. Webster, 81, formerly of Columbus, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at River’s Bend Health Care Center, South Point. Funeral services will be noon Thursday at First Baptist Church of Burlington, South Point, with Bishop Andy C. Lewter officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point.
