Donations to go to Oct. 11 murder victims’ family

GETAWAY — Students at Collins Career Technical Center volunteered their time on Friday to help raise funds a family member of those killed in Decatur Township on Oct. 11.

Brandon McGuire is a student in the school’s welding program and lost his mother and father, Tammie Lynn, 43, and Donald McGuire, 50, sister, Stacey Jackson Holston, 24, and nephew, Devin Holston, 8, in the murders at a home on State Route 93.

Michale Gleichauf, program assistant for CCTC, said students in the school’s cosmetology program wanted to aid Brandon and, on Friday, they opened the school’s salon to the public, charging only donations, which went to the family to help pay for expenses.

Donations for the family are also being collected by the Rock Hill Athletics Boosters and the Rock Hill Football Moms and can be sent to Rock Hill Athletic Boosters c/o Angie Wild, 96 Private Drive 1279, Ironton Ohio 45638.
