A political forum for the candidates running for Ironton Municipal Court judge and Ironton City Council, hosted by The Tribune, is set to take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Bowman Auditorium at Ohio University Southern.
Prior to questions beginning, each candidate will have a brief amount of time to introduce themselves, as well as give a statement on their platform and plans for the seats in which they’re running.
Candidates running for Ironton Municipal Court judge include Ironton attorney Mark McCown and Ironton attorney and current city council member Kevin Waldo. Candidates running for Ironton City Council include incumbents Bob Cleary, Craig Harvey, Beth Rist and Jim Tordiff, and challenging candidates Nate Kline, Brad Lowe and Shala Black.
Serving as the moderator is Tribune Publisher Scott Schmeltzer, and serving as the timekeeper is Tribune Media Consultant Sarah Simmons.
The political forum is open to the public to attend, and will also be live streamed on The Tribune’s Facebook page.
All questions will be prepared prior to the forum. If you have questions you would like to ask any of the candidates, please email them to dustin.melchior@irontontribune.com.
