No plans for New Year’s Eve? Some area churches and government entities can help with offerings that range from festive to faith-filled.
The annual New Year’s Eve party and ball drop, sponsored by the City of Ashland Recreation Department, begins at 9 p.m. at the Park Place building on Central Avenue across from the Ashland-Boyd County Public Library in Ashland, Ky.
The party will include light refreshments, soft drinks, door prizes and entertainment. The party will end at 11:40 p.m. and the revelry will then transfer to Judd Plaza for the ball drop.
The event is billed as free and family-friendly.
