Bands to compete Saturday at Rock Hill

Competition is first of season in southern Ohio
The Rock Hill High School band will host the first Ohio Music Education Association band competition of the season in southern Ohio on Saturday at the Rock Hill High School football stadium.
The competition will be the first time guests will be able to view local bands in competition for the season.
High school bands competing include Dawson-Bryant, South Point, Chesapeake, Symmes Valley, Green, Gallia Academy, Wellston, Portsmouth West, Minford, Northwest and Groveport Madison. Rock Hill’s band will perform in exhibition at the competition’s conclusion.
The event begins at 4 p.m., and admission is $5 per person.
A free shuttle will also be offered from the elementary school parking lot to the stadium, and concessions will be available.
