Louis Yates Jr.

March 2, 1966 — July 30, 2017

Louis Yates Jr., 51, of South Point, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, at his residence. The Lawrence County native was born March 2, 1966, the son of the late Linda Massie Yates and Louis Wetzel Yates, Sr.
Louis was a graduate of Symmes Valley High School and a former auto mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Paula Yates.
He is survived by fiancé, Billie Crank, of South Point; three sons, Louis Yates III, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Phillip Yates, of Ironton, and Brennan Crank, of Proctorville; daughter, Caroline Crank-Blevins, of Ironton; sister, Dianna (John) Campbell, of South Point; two brothers, Tony Yates, of Chesapeake, and Paul Yates, of Huntington, West Virginia; seven grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Larry Hall

Larry J. Hall, 72, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, after a brief illness in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Ralph Hall and Opal Virginia Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; a son, Brant; a granddaughter, Sadie Ann Hall, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and a sister, Linda Hall, of Ironton.
He graduated from Morehead State University and the University of Kentucky. He served in Vietnam and retired from AK Steel in Middletown in 2006.
He spent his retirement in Colorado and New Mexico hiking in the mountains. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday at Buffalo Wild Wings, Ironton.

Ardath Wilson

Ardath Wanetta Semer Wilson, 81, of Proctorville, died Sunday, July 30, 2017.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at New Hope United Methodist Church, Proctorville, by pastor Anthony Thomas. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, and noon-1 p.m. Friday at the church. Jerry Brownstead

Jerry Lee Brownstead, 78, of Ironton, died Sunday, July 30, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton Campus. He is survived by his wife, Sally Queen Brownstead.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Central Christian Church, Ironton, with Willie Purdee officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Fannie Campbell

Fannie Jacqueline Campbell, 56, of Massillon, died Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Affinity Hospital in Massillon. She is survived by her husband, Donald “Don” Guy Campbell.
Funeral service will be noon Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Charles Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Hecla Cemetery, and visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
