Sharon Roach

March 10, 1948 — July 13, 2017

Sharon Kay Roach, 69, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017, at her residence. The Ironton native was born March 10, 1948, a daughter of the late Frank “Spike” and Juanita Roach Haynes. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles Bradford Roach, whom she married July 5, 1968.
Sharon was a 1966 graduate of Coal Grove High School and attended Ohio University Southern Campus for two years. She was a loving mother and grandmother, with several nieces and nephews, and was loved by all. She was a homemaker and attended Sharon Baptist Church in Ironton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie Haynes, Frank “Butch” Haynes, Jr., and Bob Chapman; and a sister, Wanda Gibson.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Chris (Kellie) Roach, of South Lake, Texas, and Bob (Lorie) Roach, of Ironton; four grandchildren, Adam Roach and Clay Roach, both of South Lake, Texas, Sarah Roach, of Pedro, and Amanda Scarberry, of Ironton; and a sister, Katie Cundiff, of Calhoun, Georgia.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, with pastor Terry Wagner officiating. There will be no public visitation and donations may be made to the Community Hospice Care Center, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101. Don Franklin White, 79, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Singer White.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Pearl Slone, 83, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at home. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Slone.

Wenonah McDowell

Wenonah Fyffe McDowell, 53, of Russell, Kentucky, died Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Russell, Kentucky. She will be cremated and her ashes will be buried in the Kavanaugh Chapel Church Cemetery at a later date.
