CCCT to have two block party events

Planned for July 17 in Proctorville, Aug. 7 in Ironton
GETAWAY — Collins Career Technical Center has scheduled two block party events for this summer for Proctorville and Ironton.
“This is a way to give black to the community and we will have all our programs set up for anyone who wants to enroll,” Michael Gleichauf, program assistant for the vocational school said.
In addition, she said inflatables will be on hand for children and food will be served. Both events are free and open to the public.
The first, set for 5-8 p.m. July 17 in Proctorville, will take place on the parking lot behind McDonalds and will have a DJ, she said.
The second, planned for 5-8 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Ironton Farmers Market, will also feature live music from the band Country Drive, Gleichauf said.
