Humane Society sponsors vaccination clinic
Numerous dogs and cats came through the Lawrence County Humane Society pet vaccination clinic on Saturday, which took place in the Cooke’s Farm Center parking lot in Ironton.
The event lasted from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. with all animals receiving a brief “nose to tail” inspection by the DVM in attendance. The canine package included a Da2PPV, a rabies vaccine and one dose of Effitix Plus, while the feline package included a FVRCP, a rabies vaccine and one dose of Effipro Plus, with each costing $25.
Anyone interested in joining the Lawrence County Humane Society may do so for $5 a year by contacting Randy Thompson, animal control agent, at 740-285-6897, or Laura Brown, president, at 740-646-2795. The annual $5 fee goes toward spay and neuter costs as well as various other things such as rabies vaccines.
