Anna Abrams

Aug. 8, 1941 — May 10, 2017

Anna Margaret Abrams, 75, of Ironton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. The Lawrence County native was born Aug. 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Rev. William Arthur Pierson and Nellie Marie Allen Pierson. She is survived by her husband, Reese Walter Abrams, whom she married on Aug. 6, 1965.
Anna is a graduate of Ironton High School and a former employee for Wilson’s Sporting Goods. She was a member of the West Ironton Church of the Nazarene, where she was a board member and active in the woman’s group. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Angela (Michael) Hamilton, of Ironton; a sister, Sue (Rocky) Pierson-Waugh, of Argillite, Kentucky; three brothers, Arthur “Junie” (Connie) Pierson, Ed (Judy) Pierson and Frank (Brenda) Pierson, all of Ironton; and several nieces and nephews who were special to her heart.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday  at Tracy-Brammer Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Lawrence Harris and pastor Penny Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Eugene Clark

Eugene Harrison Clark, 84, of Proctorville, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis A. Farris Clark.
Open visitation for family and friends will be from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Proctorville, with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. at the church with pastor Eddie Salmon officiating. The singers will be C.J. and Della Ferguson. Burial with military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point is assisting the family with arrangements. Sarah Hans

Sarah Bess Hans, 44, of Ironton, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Russell, Kentucky.

Roman Lewis

Roman E. Lewis, 72, of Chesapeake, died Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Rose Lewis.
