Donald Fitzpatrick, Sr.

Nov. 23, 1938 — March 7, 2017

Donald Ray Fitzpatrick, Sr. of South Point, OH, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at King’s Daughter’s Medical Center. He was born Nov. 23, 1938, a son of the late Marcus Fitzpatrick and Nellie Pierce Fitzpatrick.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Fitzpatrick Herdman; two sisters, Helen Stephenson and Jesse Johnson; and three brothers, William L. Fitzpatrick, Paul David Fitzpatrick and Charles Fitzpatrick.
He was the owner of Fitzpatrick Builders and a graduate of South Point High School. He was of the Baptist faith and recently accepted Christ as his Savior.
Donald is survived by his children, Debra Fitzpatrick, Donald Ray Fitzpatrick, Jr., Rebecca Fitzpatrick, Mary Fitzpatrick Goodall, Kirby Fitzpatrick, Jessica Fitzpatrick and Chad Fitzpatrick; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Wesley, Mandy, Aaron, Trevor, Josh, Ellie, Delila, Hailie, Kailie, Elijah, Courtney, Dani and Brayden; great-grandchildren, Emma and Sidney; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; his dog and best friend, Rex; and close friends Tom Brooks, Mike Douglas and Jeanette Calloway.
Funeral Services with military honors will be 1 p.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with pastor Dewayne Slusher officiating. Lawrence Rogers, Jr.

July 31, 1954 — March 6, 2017

Lawrence Clyde Rogers, Jr., 62, of Ironton, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, at the St. Mary’s Medical Center-Ironton Campus. The Lawrence County native was born July 31, 1954, a son of the late Lawrence Sr. and Cassie Tussey Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Teresa Long Rogers, whom he married Aug. 20, 1973.
Mr. Rogers was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Ironton VFW #8850 and the Ironton Moose #701. He was a former alignment technician with Carey’s Tire Shop, retiring in 2012 after 30 years of service. He was a fan of NASCAR and Ohio State Football and enjoyed gardening and reading. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kirby Rogers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two cats, that he loved dearly, Norman and Baby Ty; a sister, Fonda (John) Bruce, of Springfield; nieces and nephews, John Edgar (Vanessa) Bruce, Don Bruce, Tammy (Jay) Smith, Jeremy “Willie” Rogers, Lori Rogers, Robert (Kristen) Allen, Jr., and Dara Long; and several great-nieces and great-nephews; sister-in-law, Carla (John) Musgrave, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; and brother-in-law, Terry (Tracey) Long, of Kitts Hill.
The Rogers family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jesse Sizemore officiating. Ronnie “Hotdog” Corns, of Wayne, West Virginia, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

Sydney Phyllis Wilding, 77, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland.
