South Point business robbed

Lawrence County Sheriff Deputies are searching for a man and woman who allegedly held up a South Point business this afternoon.

The alleged crime took place around 12:18 p.m. today at First American Cash Advance. Sheriff Jeff Lawless said the white male suspect brandished a silver handgun and demanded cash. The two allegedly got away with around $750 in cash and fled on foot.

“The business had video camera and we’re following up on leads,” Lawless said. “We hope to have an arrest soon.”
