Edward Linkfield
July 22, 1940 — Jan. 12, 2017

Edward Lee Linkfield, 76, of South Point, passed away Jan. 12, 2017, at Community Hospice in Ashland, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11a.m. at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point, with Pastor Richard L. Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington, West Virginia.
Edward was born July 22, 1940, a son of the late Lee and Ruby Cook Linkfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mickey Linkfield, and also by his son, Mark Linkfield.
He was a former employee of American Standard Corp. as a sales representative. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in South Point, where he was a former Deacon. He had a great love for singing in churches and ministering to the sick and elderly. Some of his favorite hobbies included woodworking and photography.
Edward is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosemary June Hamlin Linkfield; two daughters, Melissa (Jim) Freeman, of Clayton, North Carolina, and Mary (Carlton) Cogan, of South Point; two sisters, Barbara Moore, of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Kimberly Bostwick, of South Point; a daughter-in-law, Robin Linkfield, of Pedro; nine grandchildren, Mark Linkfield Jr., Jason Linkfield, Kelly Morgan, Mindy Clark, James Freeman, Chris Freeman, Faith Hepburn, Jake Cogan and Maddie Cogan; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Darrell Price.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jo-Lin Health Center, Patriot Emergency Services and Community Hospice for their tender, loving care and compassion. Donna Grubb

Donna Regenia Hollback Grubb, 83, of Coal Grove, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at her residence. The Blackfork, Ohio native was born April 15, 1933, a daughter of the late Daniel and Sarah Butcher Hollback. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Robert Lee Grubb, whom she married May 12, 1956.
Mrs. Grubb was a 1951 graduate of Dawson Bryant High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sunrise Church of the Nazarene and former pianist for several different Nazarene churches in the area.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Hollback, Carl Hollback and Ernest Hollback; a sister, Erma Hollback Cory; a grandson, Nathan Cade; and a granddaughter, Lily Regenia Hartley.
She is survived by four daughters, Brenda (Dan) Cade, of Kitts Hill, Alice (Larry) Grubb, of Antioch, Illinois, Martha Haney, of Ashland, Kentucky, and Lois (Rev. Rodney) Adkins, of Ironton; two nieces, Diane (Dave) Miller, of Coal Grove and Kay (Bob) Cory, of Valparaiso, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Aaron Cade, Sarah Cade Hartley, Leslie Cade Knipp, Michael Haney, Megan Haney Noble, Isaac Adkins and Isaiah Adkins; seven great grandchildren, Abigail Cade, Daniel Cade, Gabriella Hartley, Gabe Hartley, Grant Hartley, Elaina Knipp and Baby Girl Knipp.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh St., Ironton, with the Rev. Gary Henry and Rev. Rodney Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Friends may call Sunday from 3-5 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Helen Fields
Helen Fields, 66, of Coal Grove, died Thursday Jan. 12, 2017, at the Crystal Care formerly Sunset Nursing Home. Keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated. Her care has been entrusted to the brownfuneralchapel.org

Phyllis Hieneman
Phyllis Ann Hieneman, 80, of Raceland, Kentucky, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Trinity Station Retirement Community in Flatwoods, Kentucky, surrounded by her loved ones. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, with Minister Mark McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, Kentucky. Natasha Dawn Valle, 32, of Chesapeake, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. Collier Bridges
Jan. 13, 2017

Collier Jaye Bridges passed away on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. The infant child was born Jan. 13, 2017, a son to Chad and Rhonda (Wilson) Bridges, of Ironton.
In addition to his parents, Collier is survived by three siblings, Carter Bridges, Kaylee Bridges and Jarhett Bridges, all of Ironton; a paternal grandmother, Lynda Bridges, of Ironton, two special aunts, Angie Wilson and Alisha Cunningham, both of Ironton; two special uncles, Rusty (Tammy) Wilson and Jim Dean, of Ironton; a paternal great grandmother, Clarice Bridges, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Collier was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Woody and Trina Wilson; paternal grandfather, Jerry Bridges, maternal great grandparents, Glen and Clara Wilson; paternal great grandfather, Chester Bridges; an uncle, Brian Wilson; and two infant siblings.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh St., Ironton with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.

Grant Seagraves
Grant L. Sagraves, 87, of Grayson, Kentucky, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at the Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grayson. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast, with minister Musial Pearson officiating. Ruth Norma Lynd

Ruth Norma Lynd, 95, of Ironton, Ohio passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, Kentucky. The Lawrence County, Ohio native was born April 23, 1921, a daughter to the late William and Lucretia Sites. Mrs. Lynd was also preceded in death by her husband Loren Lynd.
Mrs. Lynd was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She attended Ohio Furnace Enterprise Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home, 518 South sixth Street, Ironton, Ohio 45694 with Pastor Homer Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
