Donna Sue Stevens
Oct. 26, 195 — Dec. 23, 2016
Donna Sue Stevens, 64, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2016 at her residence. The Lawrence County native was born Oct. 26, 1952, the daughter of the late William Curnell and Lou Eloise Crance Curnell. She is survived by her husband, Richard Stevens, whom she married on Jan. 29,1972.
Donna was a graduate of Ironton City Schools and a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and attended church services provided by the City Mission at Sherman Thompson Towers. She loved to read, spend time with her family, and her dog, Sassie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Bustetter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Rachel (Scott Bruce) Stevens, of Kitts Hill; a granddaughter, Sarah Stevens, of Kitts Hill; three brothers, Bill Curnell, of Ironton, Charlie (Judy) Curnell, of Kentucky, and David Curnell, of Coal Grove; five sisters, Wanda Curnell, of Ironton, Arlene Thibodaux, of Pedro, Mary Orengo, of Ironton, Alice Imes, of Franklin Furnace, and Jody (Jack) Stormes, of Coal Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. on Friday in Woodland Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, is assisting the family with the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Michael Allen Hall, 59, of South Point, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, in Huntington. A Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the South Point Church of Christ, with Mark Aites officiating. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.

Franklin Parson Newman, 73, of Wheelersburg, husband of Sue Newman, died Dec. 28, 2016, at the VA Medical Center in Huntington. Wanda Bragg, 84, of Columbus, died Dec. 18, 2016, at her residence.

Madeline Sue Castro, 70, of Chesapeake, wife of Larry Castro, died Thursday Dec. 22, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, in Huntington.

Charles Moore
Charles Moore, 80, of Dayton, formerly of Crown City, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at Hospice of Dayton, Dayton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy.

Rick Bryant
April 16, 1949 —Dec. 25, 2016
Rick Bryant Sr. 67, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton, Ohio native was born April 16, 1949, a son of the late Morris “Jack” Bryant Jr. and Phyllis Bishop Bryant.
Rick was a 1967 graduate of Ironton High School and a self employed auto mechanic. He was of the Pentecostal faith, enjoyed watching game shows, playing solitare and working crossword puzzles. He loved Chevy’s, motorcycles and the “oldies goldies”. He also loved Lexi Lou and Noah Roo and playing the lottery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angel Bryant.
He is survived by one son, Rick (Sharon) Bryant, of Ironton; two brothers, Doug (Lisa) Bryant, of Ironton, and Terry Bryant, of Hecla; a sister, Cindy (Rick) Fry, of South Point; two grandchildren, Lexi and Noah Bryant, both of Ironton.
Funeral services will be at noon on Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, with Evangelist Mack Shope and pastor Cline McCallister officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens and visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary Roach
Nov. 27, 1958—Dec. 22, 2016
Mary Lou Roach, 58, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at a local health care facility. The Ironton, Ohio native was born Nov. 27, 1958, a daughter of Marie Anthony Douglas and the late David Gilmore.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Michael R. Roach, who passed away March 21, 2002.
Mrs. Roach was a graduate of Ironton High School and Collins Career Center. She was a former LPN for Jo-Lin Health Center and enjoyed drawing, painting and spending time with her grandson, Anthony.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Reeder, and two brothers, Bob Gilmore and Mike Gilmore.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Bill Roach, of Ironton; a daughter, Amanda Roach, of Ironton; two brothers, Bill Gilmore, of Ironton, and Brian Gilmore, of Minnesota; a grandson, Anthony Schwab, of Ironton, and her special dog, Gracie Mae.

Earl Booth
