OAK HILL — Garfield hates Mondays. The Symmes Valley Vikings weren’t too fond of Tuesday.
The hot-shooting Oak Hill Oaks had five players in double figures as they rolled past the Vikings 73-29 in a non-league game on Tuesday.
“It was just one of those games. They’re a good team and you’ve got to give them credit,” said Vikings’ coach Saunders. “We’ve got to have some kids step up and score.”
Landon Carroll had 16 points, Mitchell Hale 15 points, Nolan Carroll and Wes Mullett 14 each, and Brett Long had 12.
Laykin Gothard scored 9 points to lead the Vikings (1-1).
The Oaks used 7 points by Nolan Carroll to jump in front 19-6 in the first quarter.
Mullett had 7 points in the second quarter as the lead grew to 44-10 at the half. He scored 7 more in the third quarter and it was 65-16.
The Vikings used 5 points by Gothard to outscore the Oaks 13-8 in the fourth quarter.
