The Ironton Family Life Worship Center, along with 4:18 Ministries, hosted a free fall community block party Saturday, where people enjoyed music, free food, door prizes and comradery.
“I do this all over the U.S.,” Lee Fowler, evangelist with 4:18 Ministries, said. “It’s about helping a church, like Family Life Worship Center, connect with the community and serve them.”
Children also had plenty to do at the event, as there were inflatables and various games to take part in.
This was the third year Family Life Worship Center hosted the event, and pastor Todd Munson said the community really enjoys it.
“We always have it in the fall, and it’s our way to give back to the community,” he said. “We feed them, let them have fun and give them the word. It’s about the spiritual uplifting of this town.”
Munson has been the pastor of Family Life Worship Center in Ironton for two years.
“I believe what pastor Munson believes,” Fowler said. “Love God, love people and everything else works out.”
