The city of Ironton will be conducting its safe trick-or-treat and Halloween parade downtown on Monday, Oct. 24.
Children and their families will have the opportunity to come downtown to trick-or-treat at the Ironton City Center as well as other downtown Ironton businesses.
“Safe trick-or-treat gives an opportunity to come out and be able to see what’s downtown as well as provide a place to trick-or-treat safely,” Ironton Mayor Katrina Keith said. “It also gives businesses that aren’t downtown, and still want to participate an opportunity to come down and take part in safe trick-or-treat at the Ironton City Center.”
Safe trick-or-treat will run from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, immediately followed by the Halloween parade, which will begin at 7 p.m.
The city of Ironton will have its regular trick-or-treat from 6-8 p.m. on Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31.
Other trick-or-treat times throughout the county for Oct. 31 include Coal Grove from 6-8 p.m., and Chesapeake, South Point and Proctorville all set for 6-7:30 p.m.
