Fairland volleyball starts OVC with win

PROCTORVILLE — The Fairland Lady Dragons downed the Rock Hill Redwomen in an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball match on Thursday.

Fairland dropped the first set 26-24 but ran off wins in the next three sets — 25-17, 25-13 and 25-19 — to win the match.

Caroline Swolsky led the Lady Dragons with 18 points including three aces.

Fairland plays in a tri-match beginning at noon on Saturday at Portsmouth Clay.
