Tickets are still available for the first annual Farm to Table dinner Saturday, Aug. 27, hosted by Ironton aLive at the Oak Ridge House, 111 S. Eighth St. in Ironton.

The event is chaired by Ironton aLive secretary Sarah Smith and will showcase Lawrence County farmers and what they have to offer while coinciding with shop local campaigns.

The menu consists of salad, vegetarian corn chowder and chicken zoodle soup appetizers, a main course of honey apple pork loins, broiled green beans, steamed carrots and potato stacks, with apple pie dessert made with local apples as well as Boo’s Donuts. The staff of the Transit Cafe is set to cook the meal, and wine will also be offered. Dinners will be served on collectible Lawrence County bicentennial plates, which the diners can keep.

A complete set of the bicentennial plates as well as a one-night stay at the Ironton Holiday Inn Express with two tickets to the Ironton aLive Ohio River Wine Festival at the hotel on Oct. 15 will be auctioned off at the dinner.

Tickets for the Farm to Table dinner are $50 a plate and are available at Printing Express until it closes on Friday, Aug. 26, and Unger’s Shoes up until the day of the event when it closes at 5 p.m. or until tickets are sold out.
