Robert Wilson

April 11, 1927 — July 10, 2016

Robert Joe (Bob) Wilson, 89, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, formerly of Minnehaha Springs, West Virginia, and Ironton, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

He was born in Ironton on April 17, 1927, Easter Sunday, to Orville and Eva Mae (Kelley) Wilson. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his three brothers, Carl (Alma) Wilson and Vernon (Ginni) Wilson, both of Lawrence County, and Ronald Wilson, of Tallahassee, Florida.

Bob was raised in Ironton and Rock Camp. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Post WWII Germany from 1945-1947 in the Military Police. He graduated from Kitts Hill High School after returning from his service in the military. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Treva (Shively) Wilson; two children, R. Dale Wilson (Emily), of East Lansing, Michigan, and Rita Wilson Kelly (Tony), of Minnehaha Springs, West Virginia; three grandchildren, Travis (Erin) Wilson, of Okemos, Michigan, Brandon Kelly (Kristen Nicholas), of Minnehaha Springs, West Virginia, and Staci Kelly (Justin Smith), of Goose Creek, South Carolina. He is also survived by two great-grandsons, Jesse Kelly, of Minnehaha Springs, West Virginia, and Cole Robert Wilson, of Okemos, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Joyce Wilson; niece, Rhonda Wilson; and a nephew, Tim Wilson.

Bob was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Following his work as a machinist at the Ironton Machine Shop and retirement from the Ashland Oil Refinery, where he was a machinist and maintenance supervisor and security guard, Bob and Treva moved to Minnehaha Springs where they lived for several years before moving to the Seasons Assisted Living in Lewisburg.

Bob was a devoted family man and will be greatly missed by his family. Services will be at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday followed by graveside services at the Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Vicky Hall

Vicky Thornburg Hall, 60, of South Point, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice of Huntington. She is survived by her husband, Michael Allen Hall. A celebration of Vicky’s life will be 5 p.m. Friday at South Point, Church of Christ, South Point, with Mark Aites officiating. Wilford Robinson

May 16, 1921 — July 16, 2016

Wilford M. Robinson, 95, Chesapeake, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at River’s Bend Health Care of South Point. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Galloway officiating.

Wilford was born May 16, 1921, in the Wilgus community, a son of the late William A. and Cora Bellville Robinson. He was a retired chemical operator for Novamont Corp., a WWII U.S. Army veteran and former member of the Highlawn Baptist Church.

He married Sallye Fogas on Dec. 24, 1946, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, and she preceded him in death on April 24, 2015.

Wilford is survived by nephews, Larry Brammer, of Proctorville, and Danny Boster, of Grayson, Kentucky; nieces, Patricia Brammer Eastam, of Chesapeake, Peggy Crabtree, of Largo, Florida; a special great-niece, Pam Powell, of North Jackson; and many other great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Fern Robinson Snyder and Faye Robinson Humphrey; brothers, Thurman Robinson, Don Robinson, Willard Robinson and a brother, Oscar, in infancy.

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Internment will be in the Highland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Wilford’s memory to the National Alzheimer’s Association, the Heartland Hospice of Portsmouth or any other local hospice organization of your choice.

Wilford’s family would like to thank the staff of River’s Bend Health Care for their loving care of Wilford and his late wife, Sallye.

Constance Lucas

May 21, 1940 — July 11, 2016

Constance Lucas, 76, of Ironton, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at the Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Dr. Kevin Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point.

She was born May 21, 1940, in Houlton, Maine, a daughter of the late Allenby Folsom and Pauline Stewart Folsom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Batty Markey; a brother, Donald Folsom; and her mother and father-in- law, Raymond and Dena Lucas. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church. Constance is survived by her husband, Lacey Lucas; a daughter, Lisa (Aaron Bailey) Lucas; a brother, Roger Folsom; and two grandchildren, Meghan Christian and Andrew (Ashlee) Christian.
