Helen Clark

March 13, 1932 — June 14, 2016

Helen “Peachy” Clark, 84, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Floyd County, Kentucky, native was born March 13, 1932, a daughter of the late Elzie and Grace Privett Powers.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James R. Clark, who passed away in 2007.

Mrs. Clark was a homemaker and attended the Auxier Freewill Baptist Church in Auxier, Kentucky. She loved the outdoors, taking care of her flowers and yard work. She also loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons James Monroe Clark, Billy Joe Clark, and Bobby Wayne Clark; a daughter, Wanda Jean Harmon; and two great-grandchildren, Scotty Seagraves and Elizabeth Branam.

She is survived by three sons, Terry (Liz) Clark, Jeff Clark, all of Ironton, and Tim (Melinda) Clark, of Ashland, Kentucky; three daughters, Brenda Hale, of South Point, Sharon (Rock) Massie, of Kitts Hill, and Cathy (Roy) Slone, of Ironton; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Palmer Powers, of Auxier, Kentucky, and Poter Powers, of Brookhaven, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with Brother Rock Massie officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Paul Adams Sr.

Paul Edward Adams, Sr., 66, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at home. He is survived by his wife, Linda Kay Gibson Adams. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by pastor Jason Adams. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, West Virginia.
