Lloyd E. Hager

Lloyd E. Hager, 76, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Proctorville native was born Oct. 26, 1933, the son of the late Lon Hager and Ora Salmons Hager Massey.

Mr. Hager attended Chesapeake schools and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a self employed mechanic and of the Protestant faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Harvey Hager, Ruford Hager, Oscar Hager, Kenneth Hager and James Hager; and two sisters, Lula Hager and Betty Lou Abner.

He is survived by five sisters and a brother-in-law, Elizabeth Adkins of Pedro, Addie Mae and Walt Wheeler of Waycross, Ga., Evelyn Gannon of Ironton, Mary Wilson of O’Fallen, Mo. and Jeanie Campbell of Tennessee.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Timothy Gillette officiating. Military graveside rites will be by the VFW Post 8850. There will be no public visitation.
