Lois Malone
June 10, 1928 — April 22, 2016
Lois Shirley Malone, 87, formerly of Ironton, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at the home of her son in Ft. White, Florida. The Lawrence County native was born June 10, 1928, a daughter of the late Richard S. and Anna Lyon Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Sheldon Jay Coburn in 1990, and her second husband, Ralph E. Malone in 1997. Lois was a graduate of Ironton High School and a member of Central Christian Church in Ironton.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Edna Mohr, Harriet Sesher, Grace Payne, Alice Scott and Patricia Callicoat; one brother, Ralph S. Lambert; and one great-grandchild, Casey Sacco.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Deborah Coburn, of Ft. White, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Stephen Lane, of Lexington, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Joseph Coburn, Joanna Meeks, Margaret Sacco, and Ashlyn, Cody, Kaitlyn and Victoria Coburn, Shelley Lane and Stephanie Smith; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Shapter, of Erie, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Central Christian Church with minister Karl Marshall officiating. Joyce Bodmer
Dec. 8, 1928 — April 26, 2016
Joyce Shepherd Bodmer, 87, of Ironton, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Cleveland native was born Dec. 8, 1928, a daughter of the late Dewey Shepherd and Maxine Schmitt Shepherd.
Mrs. Bodmer was a 1946 graduate of Ironton High School and attended the First United Methodist Church. She retired in 1992 after 39 years with Ashland Oil Inc.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Bodmer in 1980; and stepmother, Marjorie Shepherd.
She is survived by brother-in-law, Lowell Bodmer, of Ironton; sister-in-law, Mary Bodmer, of Ironton; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be noon Saturday in Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Cremeans officiating. Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, is assisting the family with the arrangements. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Thomas “Tom” Edward Allen, 65, of Crown City, died Monday, April 25, 2016, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Allen. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory Proctorville, by the Rev. Darrell Fowler. Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
