Tampering with records — March 22, principal of Symmes Valley High School reported a male student had several absences with doctor and dentist notes that were allegedly verified to be false excuses; mother of student said her friend and son made the notes but she would take responsibility; report filed with prosecutor’s office.

Domestic violence — 100 block Township Road 1376, Proctorville, April 23, man alleged woman grabbed his arm, on which he recently had surgery, while he was trying to move out; Ruth Young, 44, of the same address, arrested.

Petty theft — Subway, Proctorville, April 25, employee allegedly took $180 from register.

Burglary — 100 block Township Road 1216, Proctorville, April 25, liquid hydrocodone taken from residence.

Petty theft — Lowe’s, South Point, April 25, two air conditioners taken from store.

Petty theft — 400 block Fourth Ave., Chesapeake, April 25, wallet taken from unlocked vehicle.

Theft — 800 block County Road 24, Ironton, April 25, lawn mower taken.

Identity fraud — 200 block Township Road 1053, Proctorville, April 25, woman reported DirectTV account opened in her name.

Petty theft — Wal-Mart, South Point, April 26, man allegedly attempted to steal Bluetooth speakers; Jaylon Newton, 19, of 211 Buffington St., Huntington, arrested.

Petty theft — Dollar General, Proctorville, April 21, woman allegedly stole medicines from store.
