To acquire Superior dealership in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ky. –– This week, Glockner announced that an agreement was signed to purchase the assets of Superior Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram on Greenup Avenue in Ashland.

“We’ve been watching that store from a distance for about three years now,” Tim Glockner, owner of the Glockner Automotive group, said. “We inquired about purchasing it about three months ago. It’s still awaiting factory approval, but our target date for closing is May 20.”

Glockner said Superior was receptive to the transaction and was mostly excited about it.

The staff of the dealership would be retained through the ownership change.

The Superior organization is impressive and they have much to offer. Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep brand loyalty remains strong and we’re very pleased to add these franchises to our offerings.”

With the addition of Superior, Glockner adds to Glockner of Ironton, Glockner South Point Ford, Glockner Honda and Toyota and Glockner GM Superstore in Portsmouth and seven Glockner Auto Credit locations as well as the Glockner Oil Company, Glockner Finance Company and Glockner Heavy Truck Sales.
