Volley for the Cure
Monday at St. Joseph
The St. Joseph Female Flyers host Ohio Valley Christian Monday in a Susan G Komen “Volley For the Cure” volleyball game with all proceeds going toward research for the cure of breast cancer.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and there will be various activities such as raffles and other means of making donations. Admission to the game is $5.
IHS cheerleaders
plan spaghetti meal
The Ironton High School cheerleaders will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, in the Central Christian Church gym prior to the Ironton vs. Bishop Hartley football game.
Dinners are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Dinner includes salad, roll, and drink.

plans registration
The Coal Grove Little League Basketball will conduct registration for grades K-6 at the Coal Grove Hornets’ home football game Friday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16. Fee is $30 per player (cash only).
Holliday to speak
at Quarterback Club
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall University head football coach Doc Holliday will be the keynote speaker at the weekly Marshall Quarterback Club meeting at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Pullman Plaza Hotel.
