As warm weather moves closer and closer, Ironton aLive is gearing up for another busy year of activities for the community. On Wednesday, the group met to organize the year’s activities and create budgets for the events.
The second annual Great River Craft Beer Fest, co-hosting by the Friends of Ironton, is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 at the Ro-Na; the second Taste of Ironton, which will be extended by an hour this year, is returning Saturday, June 25 downtown; the first Farm to Table dinner will take place Saturday, Aug. 27, although that is still in the planning stages; and the Heritage Festival will be Saturday, Oct. 15, with the Ohio River Wine Festival the same day at the Holiday Inn. Times and details of the events are still to be determined.
Ironton aLive chair Ginger Gillenwater said there will be several business after-hours events at the Holiday Inn as well.
“Everything we do is meant to enhance businesses and the community,” Gillenwater said. “There’s so many great things planned and we’re excited about everything.”
