The man who will be charged with the alleged assault of a Briggs Lawrence County Library employee has been arrested in Kentucky.
Seth Coleman, 22, of Ironton was arrested at a Morehead hospital Wednesday by Kentucky State Police. He is currently in the Rowan County Kentucky Detention Center.
“He will have his extradition hearing on Friday,” Ironton Police Detective Joe Ross said. “If he waives extradition, he will be picked up by Ironton Police that day.”
On Jan. 15 at 4:30 p.m. a staff member reported to Ironton Police that a male subject had come into the library and allegedly attempted to assault her with a weapon, according to the detective.
“She screamed for help,” Ross said. “Other workers from the library came to her aid.”
Coleman will be charged with felonious assault.
