Electronic devices such as computers, tablets and smart phones continue to top the list of gifts given during the holiday season. For older adults, technology can be a terrific way to stay in touch with relatives and friends near and far.
However, the options and functionality of new devices can be overwhelming to some. Ohio University Southern (OUS) is offering two Community Education classes on Thursday, Jan. 7, to help ease some of this anxiety.
The morning course, scheduled from 9 a.m.- 12 noon, includes an introduction to a computer’s hardware and basic operations. The second course, scheduled from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m., will include email, Facebook and surfing the Internet. Both courses will be at the Ironton Campus in room 214 of the Academic Center.
The price for each class is $25. For details about course content and to register online, visit https://www.ohio.edu/southern/academics/community-education/index.cfm.
