South Warren routs Johnson Central in 4A final

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Devante Colton and Jacob Wilde each returned fumbles for touchdowns Sunday as South Warren beat Johnson Central 36-6 in the KHSAA Class 4A title game at Western Kentucky University.
The Spartans, playing in their hometown, finished the season 15-0 and captured their first state championship. South Warren began varsity play in 2011.
South Warren won each of its games this season by at least 21 points.
The Spartans dominated the Golden Eagles, outgaining them 362-130 in total yards. South Warren tallied 22 first downs to Johnson Central’s three.
South Warren’s Ryder Litten threw a TD pass to Chase Japp. Kayron Namvong and Austin McElwain also ran for scores.
Namvong finished with 121 yards on 27 carries.
Bryce Skaggs ran in the lone score for the Golden Eagles (12-2). He finished with 63 yards on six carries.
