A large batch of prescription pills are off the street following a bust by the Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force.
On Tuesday, the task force and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of a confidential informant, made a controlled buy of 90 oxycodone tablets from John F. Wright, 47, of 714 Bellefonte Princess Road, Ashland, and Cari Lynn Collins, 37, of 13483 State Route 93 Pedro, according to a release from the prosecutor’s office.
Mark A. Noel, 42, of 870 County Road 128 Ironton, allegedly transported Wright and Collins to the Ironton Hills Drive parking lot, where the controlled purchase occurred. Immediately after, Noel’s vehicle was stopped. Marked buy money and a large quantity of oxycodone tablets estimated street value of $6,000 were seized, according to the release.
All three were incarcerated at the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and are charged with trafficking in drugs, a second-degree felony. They will be arraigned in Ironton Municipal Court today.
